Search engine optimization (SEO) revolves a lot around Google today. However, the practice we now know as SEO predates the world's most popular search engine, co-founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. SEO stands for search engine optimization. Rand Fishkin, founder and former CEO of Moz, defines the term as “the practice of increasing the quantity and quality of traffic obtained through organic search engine results.”.

The objectives of the advertising business model do not always correspond to providing a quality search to users. It's important to note that you did this based on the quality of the content and not just the search keyword. Many search engines have risen and bit the dust over the years, unlike Google, which seems to be gaining strength in strength.

Users are constantly searching for all the information they need across multiple devices, and search engines do their best to provide them with the most relevant contextual results. In 1997, the Webstep Marketing Agency was the first group to use the phrase “search engine optimization” in their marketing materials. Therefore, marketers could use hacking practices and take advantage of keyword stuffing and spam links to rank better in the results. White hats tend to produce results that last a long time, while black hats anticipate that their sites may eventually be banned, either temporarily or permanently, once search engines figure out what they are doing.
And around 1998, Danny Sullivan, founder of Search Engine Watch, began popularizing the term and helping customers optimize their content to rank well in search engine results. Webmasters and content providers began optimizing sites for search engines in the mid-1990s, when the first search engines were cataloging the first Web. So even though people refer to generic search engines, Google is the one that matters most in the history of SEO. As an internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, the computer-programmed algorithms that dictate search engine behavior, what people search for, the search terms or keywords that are typed in search engines and which search engines prefer their target audience.
